There’s a theory in the health community that…
Much like fire leaves ash when it burns, so does your metabolism. But we don’t call it ash. We call it metabolic waste. And metabolic waste, or what’s leftover after our metabolisms have consumed the food we’ve eaten, can be one of three things:
Acidic
Neutral
Alkaline
Here’s the idea – some foods will metabolize and leave an acidic residue. Some will leave an alkaline residue.
If it wasn’t for the availability of the chimney, solid, multi-functional, well-made, generational furniture would’ve never caught on.

Part of the fun, tinsel-laced, snow-kissed holiday tension during this stretch of the year is determining whether to say “Merry Christmas,” because it reminds you of your childhood and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, or saying “Happy Holidays,” which has no sentimental value except that it includes the previously excluded.
The reality is, of course, that there are many, many more religious and cultural holidays between Thanksgiving and NYE that don’t necessarily stem from Judeo-Christian traditions.
